What is EC2?
Elastic Compute Cloud(EC2) is a web-based computing platform that provides elasticity and scalability of resources. It makes it possible to run applications on AWS, without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure.
EC2 instances can be configured with a variety of configurations, such as CPU, memory, storage, networking, and operating systems. Each instance can have different settings that affect how it runs your application.
AWS offers a number of features that make using EC2 easy and convenient. These features include:
-Elasticity – EC2 instances are automatically restarted if they are stopped or degraded in any way. This prevents your applications from experiencing any downtime or loss in performance because of system failures.
-Scalability – EC2 allows you to increase or decrease the number of instances that you use at any given time. This makes it possible to meet the demands of your applications without having to wait for new resources to be created.
-Security – EC2 provides tight security controls so that your data is protected from unauthorized access.
