What is MBBS?
The MBBS, or Bachelor of Surgery, is a four-year degree program that prepares students to become doctors. It is the equivalent of a medical degree from a university.
The MBBS program is divided into two parts: the pre-clinical and clinical phases. The pre-clinical phase covers basic sciences such as biology, chemistry, and physics. It is essential for students to have a good understanding of these subjects in order to succeed in the clinical phase.
The clinical phase of the MBBS program includes both hospital and academic medical training. Hospital training includes learning about medical procedures and how to treat patients. Academic medical training includes studying medicine at a university. This training teaches students about the latest research in medicine.
After completing the MBBS program, students are ready to become doctors. They will need to pass an exam called the Medical Council of India (MCI) Entrance Test in order to be approved to practice medicine in India. After passing the MCI Entrance Test, students can begin their doctorate program at a university of their choice.
