What is OT?
Occupational therapist(OT) is a health professional who helps people with physical and/or mental disabilities to live as independently as possible. OTs work with people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, to help them recover from injuries and disabilities, improve their physical abilities, and cope with chronic illnesses.
OTs are specially trained in rehabilitation therapy, which is the specialized treatment of injuries and disabilities. They use a variety of techniques, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and psychotherapy.
OTs work with clients in their homes or in special programs that are designed specifically for them. They may also work in hospitals or clinics. OTs often team up with other health professionals, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and psychologists.
Occupational therapists play an important role in many aspects of people’s lives. They help injured or disabled individuals to regain their independence and reach their full potential.
